White Day.

The day when all the wait is over. For those who celebrate or confess on Valentine’s Day. And only if you live in Japan. I don’t think the guys in the other half of world wait for a month to return the girl’s feeling.

I mean, really? A month to add the word “too”? What a bum. xD

Anyway, as the spring cleaning theme is supposed to be still going. Though I’m not pushing Atteh as much. But at least we can have some breather (I think). xD

Without further ado, I present thee the release for White Day

• Shitsujisama to Himegoto ch08 : Aha! Another conclusion. Should have released this last weekend, but got too lazy.
• Pin to Kona ch06: I have nothing to say for this one. xD
• Stand Up!!! ch05: Woot?! A release after more than two years?! Yes, Stand Up!!! is one of those projects that somewhat stalled in the editing department *hint hint*
• Natsu no Kakera (Senkawa Natsumi) ch01: It has smut. And despite the mangaupdates’s tag. This one is actually a josei.
• Sekai wa Bokura no tame ni! v2 ch2: Enjouji Maki, eh… Nope, I don’t read this. xD
• Ghost wa Kiss o Kirau ch 2: With this, I have nothing left in my sleeve to present to you.

We’re also still in need for editor and QC-er. Yes, we need a QC-er to relieve Atteh from her burden and because I refuse to do it. If you believe you have good affinity with PS and can use it well, please head to our recruitment page. Thanks.

Spring is coming, and so is with life and being busy. Sorry to tell you, but we may be a bit slower than usual. Haha, try to picture that. But well, right now I’m working on to make the staff (mostly Atteh) to finally finish some titles. It’s time for a spring cleaning. Anyhow, while the white pig is busy, I’ll be the one here delivering the releases for you. And don’t worry, I’ve managed to make her finish at least 2 chapters every week, or else.

Nah, I’m not that mean to the white pig. I’m just ensuring the availability of some extra spaces in our projects by finishing some titles, so we can work on the new ones. We are greedy, it can’t be helped. I called it, being humane.

Quick update. Apparently, yesterday (February 2nd), one of the smut brigade’s leading member is having a birthday. So happy birthday to you, Aya! May the smut be with you.

Onto the releases.

• Sensei to Ikenai H story 06 : Final chapter of this series. Yes, this is what I mean by clearing stuffs.

Yes. It’s the black pig again. The white pig has personally requested me to make a special post for today. The special day. Whichever way you see it. Most people called it as Valentine’s Day, even though for most of them it’s SAD. Yes, SAD. Single Awareness Day. It’s the day where most of the population bitchslapped by the fact that they’re still single and decided to mop about it or do whatever it takes to be not single, even just for a day. Also, for some other population, it’s the celebration of love or love consummation day aka smut day.(Yes, I hear you Aya)

It’s an irony how people gave the wrong view about the Single Awareness Day. Every day is single awareness day. Just because the chocolate is on sale and malls turned pink don’t mean this exact date is better than any other day. It’s also an irony how it’s me who write this post, considering I’m the heartless one. xD

It’s also an irony when you have said something and then hide under whatever flimsy or not flimsy reason, with possible search for some justification. It’s an irony how we have said that we have move on, but still watching our backs. How we have said things over and over again, and still got asked the same question over and over again. Wondering if it’s our fault for being so awesome that made us misunderstood pretty often, or it’s their fault for being illiterate doesn’t really help. And at a point, it’s just plain tiring. Yes it is. We have life, people. I’m sorry if you don’t but I’m sure somewhere around the internet’s corner, someone is selling a life. Go grab it while it last.

In my last post (somewhere in 2011), I’ve made a post on how we’re not dead. And now I realize that patience sure is a virtue, and one that not easily gained. If there’s some delay in our releases, then it must be because we’re such a bunch of perfectionist who even close to the side of masochism. And since this is our hobby, just let us be. We like to take our time, torture ourselves to give the best of all (by our standard). If it’s your hobby to bitch around about how slow we are and that similar stuffs about our holier-than-thou attitude, have it your way. We’re in no position to tell you not to. If we haven’t reply your emails, it’s because either a. It’s about something that already have a clear answer in our FAQ, or b. It’s somewhere in the midst of our emails. I apologize for those lost emails. Nobody’s at fault here. Unless you really want to blame someone, then go ahead and do some blame flame.

Anyway, cause you have read this long post, I’ll give you some ends… and some bunch of other releases cause hey, this is the day where all girls should be happy.

• Bokura wa Itsumo ch30-35 : After my hiatus was effective, I really didn’t have time to read or catch up with this one. But since I’m nice once in a while, this time, I’ll give you a whole volume 6. Yes, you heard me right. I can’t wait to grab it either. xD
• Sensei to Ikenai H story 04-05 : To be honest, I almost forgot to release this one. As you can see, I even too lazy to make a separate post. xD

So boss Atteh has allowed me to write another post, because I like to rage, but also because we have some releases and Atty admits she is lazy and wants someone else to do it…

So what to rage about?! Well, you see, we have a wonderful group of Translators and and Proofreaders who go ZOOOOOM on doing their thing, which is great! But then, that work goes into the pile known as “The stuff that I have to typeset” pile, and Atty sees my inbox as a plaything, so…HELP! So if any of you smut lovers can give us a hand editing/cleaning and typesetting, please help me and the rest of the editing crew >.< We have smut, bishies, shoujo, smut, josei, more bishies…and some smut!

On another note, February is here, which means Valentine’s Day is nearing, which means smut, smut and more smut! So look forward to our Vallie Day releases.

But without further ado, here’s our releases for now guys :

• Anata ni Hana wo Sasagemashou ch17 : We are getting closer to unmasking the curse in the Furimudou family. Seri is having doubts…?

Boss Atty has allowed me to help post this much anticipated release update, and yes it is Bokura wa Itsumo!! It has come to our attention that another scanlation group has started scanlating and releasing Bokura wa Itsumo as well as ourselves, and quite frankly it pissed us off a lot -______________-, mainly because we haven’t dropped this project or have no intention of doing so.

Considering that BwI is Atty’s pet project, herself, as well as many other staffies such as myself are quite upset with these releases which we feel are not up to standard (at least not Midnight Scans standard), especially since this same group felt the need to re-release their own version of chapters we had previously released months ago! What’s with that! Our releases are clearly better!

I understand that sometimes releases are not as frequent as the fangurls may like them, but a lot of the staffies here have RL commitments such as work and study on a full time basis, which does take a lot of time out of us.

Anyways, Atty always says she will only drop projects when absolutely necessary, so just because we haven’t released in a while, doesn’t mean we have dropped (check the ‘dropped’ page for that). All Midnight Scans staffies stick by this, even if we deadset hate a project like Million Girl, we stick to it until the end if we can, unlike other groups who drop projects left, right and centre because staff don’t like them or can’t be bothered with them, or pick up/take projects that are being done by an active scanlating group.

Anyway, Atty is determined not to let any other group touch her precious BwI, so she has gone into slave-master mode on our wonderful rePRer and myself, the poor typesetter, to bring you all these chapters as soon as possible (in saying that, Atty spent a lot of time QCing these chapters, as she always does).

Its going to be a brand new year…in just a matter of 1 day, 00:30:05, but who is counting XDD…
Well…I guess, we have lots of reflect on this year for us staffs, especially with the lots the old staffers dropping off, more and more projects nab because of our change in RL, a brand new pet for some of the staffers, mother nature disaster and etc…

We all hope, that maybe 2013 will mark the end of most of our shoujo projects except the favorites of the staff like BwI, KanoUso, Pin to Kona, TsukiTaiyou (which is still in progress due to slow editing). I don’t think that its a surprise that this group will focus mainly on josei or smut projects and more Ohmi Tomu & Yoshihara Yuki delicious’s manga…
Yeah! I find that at the fault of aya who kept spamming on my facebook saying she want smut, more smut…hahaha!!!

Let’s hope, our busy RL won’t stall more releases that we have and will have

Yesterday was the finally day of ComicFest in Malaysia, and I really did enjoyed the day tremendously, from getting able to meet the person behind AarinFantasy (yea the lady itself AarinFantasy), getting random stuffs like badges, stickers and t-shirts. There was some K stickers…and I wanted to turn it BL theme and the person who was selling it was actually giggling It was really a good time for me

Christmas is coming and right now, we(the MS staffs) have time to kill so we decided to finally release…This month will basically be dubbed as our anni month since I was so tied up till releasing for anni in July was something I cannot make it.
After long discussion with the staffs especially since we too fear what next year will bring us, we’ve decided to shove our anni to December so that we will have time for scanlations hahaha!!!
